We've been nominated as finalists for a new award ’Suuri Sisustustunnustus’ by interior magazines asun, avotakka, deko and gloriankoti.
Prize is given by the Habitare Fair Helsinki this September.

Maanalaiset Maisemat / Subterrain Sceneries
We paid a visit to the City of Järvenpää and took a few photos of this artwork we designed in 2019. Subterrain Sceneries is a set of five colourful tiled pieces located in the underpassage of Järvenpää train station. They fill five octagonal shaped recesses that were left by the removal of old display vitrines. (That awesome wooden ceiling is not by us but belongs to the original design of the station),

Crafts techniques around the world come together in a limited edition of 30 pcs Universal Spirits

The innermost layer, a maple kokeshi doll is manufactured in Kuroishi, Japan by Master Abo Mutsihide.
Second layer of linden wooden is manufactured in Semenov, Russia by Igor, Elena, Alexandra et al.
Third layer is a tin armour is manufactured in Hochimilco, Mexico by Don Tomas Ricardo.

Museums finally open and the exhibition Travel as a Tool welcomes visitors at Design Museum Helsinki.
Travel as Tools exhibition presents trips and journeys of Nordic designers and architects from the 1940s to the present day.
We participate in the exhibition with new works from our Secrets of Mexico project.

Moving office!
We are so honored to have a new atelje in this iconic functionalist palace Lallukka designed by Gösta Juslen in 1930´s.
New COMPANY office address is Eteläinen Hesperiankatu14 E 2, 00100 Helsinki, Finland.
Our shop Salakauppa will stay where it is in Postikatu 1, 00100 Helsinki and starts operating as usual again in June.

Spring is coming and the birds are back.
We made this series of birds with the amazing bird artist Helge Mattsson last summer.
The series is titled ’Unwanted Birds’ and it includes: Barnackle Goose, Sparrow, Herring Gul and Pigeon. These are all birds that are seen as a nuisance but play so important part in ecosystem. Some of them are already rare because of persecution.
Manufactured in the islands of Southernmost Finland where Helge walks along the coasts in search of the perfect stone for each of the birds to sit on.
Material: Clay, painted, stone. Designed by J. Olin & H. Mattsson.
Size: 110mm (Goose) – 40 mm (Sparrow). Price: Goose 50,00 EUR, others 40,00 EUR/pc.

Spring Green Wall of Secrets at Artek Helsinki store.
Our art director Yaya (in photo) is very happy to see Secrets of Finland -collection so beautifully displayed.
We designed this collection of ceramic items in celebration of Finnish festivities and beliefs. The Lucius and Lucia candleholders bring light to the dark winter. The Midsummer Dream Vase is for the seven wild flowers one should keep under the pillow to meet ones future partner. Easter Witch with her dog who holds the decorated easter branches. Pauper coin collector is based on a tradition of wooden paupers outside churches collecting money for the poor.

After waiting for a couple of years that master wood turner Igor dried the linden tree trunks, we are now back with an edition of twenty stools.
