Birch Bag Big is ideal as a shoulder bag. A new material was introduced for the shoulder strap. The strap is woven of vegetable tanned leather and will tolerate heavy use.
Birch Bag Big takes its shape from a traditional basket that was used for carrying milk bottles. Nowadays we don’t carry milk bottles and so we gave the bag new slimmer measurements.
Birch Bag Big was born after Aamu and Johan paid a visit to birch bark master Pertti Junninen in Kuopio, eastern Finland. During our stay we learned the traditional technique of birch bark weaving.
